PhD Student Huan Liu Selected for 2019 Research Grant

Congratulations Huan Liu, PhD student in Applied Linguistics in Education, for being selected by the National Council in the Teaching of Less Commonly Taught Languages for the 2019 research grant

The USA National Council on the Teaching of Less Commonly Taught Languages (NCOLCTL) and The National Federation of Modern Language Teachers Associations (NFMLTA) has selected Huan Liu, PhD student in Applied Linguistics in Education, to receive the NFMLTA / NCOLCTL Research Support Grant for her dissertation research that examines the role of inserted adjuncts with reading in Chinese. NFMLTA supports the work of students in the field of languages through philanthropic initiatives. It is an honor that Huan Liu will be part of the 2019 cohort of grant recipients.

Huan will be presented with the distinction at a ceremony on Saturday April 27, 2019 6:30pm at the National Council on the Teaching of Less Commonly Taught Languages (NCOLCTL) annual conference in Atlanta.
